Manningtree, Essex – sourcing development partner & sale of development land
Nick Harper was appointed by the farming owners of land adjoining a village near to Manningtree with its own railway station and good commuting links to London and the region. We undertook a search for a suitable development partner to work with the owners, resulting in the appointment of a national promotion company.
The promoter successfully secured planning permission for 135 houses and Hawkspur was then instructed to sell the land for the owners. Following open market exposure, competitive bids were received from five housebuilders and the site sold to a respected regional builder.
This sale led to the granting of an option agreement to the housebuilder for a second phase and consent was granted at planning appeal for an additional 100 houses. Hawkspur advised the landowners throughout.
